Just before 3:45 p.m. Mountain time am on Valentine's day 2014, Simon Cowell's girlfriend, Lauren Silverman was delivered of a baby boy at Lennox Hill Hospital in New York.

The child is the first one for the notoriously non-committal TV mogul and founder of the X-Factor talent show. Simon who had a private jet on standby had to race to New York from London where he was filming Britain's Got Talent, another of his TV shows, a distance of almost 6000 kilometers.
